Reconstructing the late roman fortress of Breisach Muensterhuegel in 3D

In close cooperation with the University of Freiburg, Provinzialroemische Archaeologie, we build a 3D-model of the Roman site of Breisach by order of the Stadtarchiv Breisach. Situated on the Muensterhuegel above the river Rhine was the late Roman fortress.
A further challenge is the plausible integration of the 3D-reconstruction into a large scale digital elevation model, which we modified by using ancient maps and pictures dated before the rhine correction by Tulla early in the 19th century.
