By order of the municipality of Riegel we visualize the forum and basilica of the roman Riegel of the 2 nd century A.D.

It is very helpful for our work that the floorplans and sections of the reconstruction already exist as AutoCAD-files (Dr. Christian Dreier). We will model the 3D-space and geometry according to the very

precise information in three steps:

When the forum with an external view of the basilica is finished the interior of the three-aisle building including the apsis which contained the statue of the emperor will be created. The visualization should especially give an impression of the lighting conditions in the interior of the building.

There will also be a reconstruction of the fortification and the gate of the wood-soil-fortress from the 1 st century.
